Dr. Allie McCreary is a social scientist in the College of Forestry, Wildlife and Environment at Auburn University. She studies parks and recreation management and human dimensions of natural resource management.
Dr. McCreary teaches in the Parks and Recreation Management degree program, including courses focused on outdoor leadership, access & participation, and health & well-being.
Her recent research includes projects examining climate change impacts on nature-based tourism and outdoor recreation; evaluating collaborative partnerships related to the management of parks and protected areas; and understanding the outcomes of environmental education and environmental communication on individuals’ connection to nature.
